Originally, Mary Maxim Knitting Worsted yarn, a worsted weight with 280 yards per 4 oz skein, was used. But now, with a wide variety of to choose from, you can customize this project to suit your style. Keep in mind that yardage may differ. All you need are U.S. sizes 4 (3.5 mm), 6 (4 mm), and 8" double point size 4 (3.5 mm), and 6 (4 mm) to begin!
